Approval Threshold
The Approval Threshold defines how many member approvals are required before a proposal can be executed in your Altitude account.
For example, an Altitude account with 3 members might set an Approval Threshold of 2/3. When a proposal is created, such as sending funds or updating a team member’s permissions, members with Vote rights must approve the Active proposal from the Approvals page. Once the threshold is met, the proposal updates to Ready (learn about statuses here) and can be executed by any member with Execute rights.
Avoid insecure configurations
Single-vote thresholds (e.g. 1/3) allow any member to act unilaterally.
Maximum-vote thresholds (e.g. 3/3) risk permanent loss of access if a member loses their credentials.
Edit your Approval Threshold
Select Edit to change the Approval Threshold.
Choose your new threshold and select Initiate.
This action creates a new proposal in the Approvals page to be voted on and executed.
Note: All existing proposals with an Active or Ready status will be automatically canceled when updating your Approval Threshold for security reasons.
