The Members page in Altitude is where you can view and manage your team. You’ll see a table showing all existing and invited members, with the following details:
Email: The team member’s email.
Rights: The member’s assigned permissions.
Date Added: When the member joined the account.
Rights
Each member in your Altitude account can be assigned one or more rights. These permissions determine who can initiate, approve, or execute proposals, giving you full control over team access.
Available rights:
Initiate: Can create proposals.
Vote: Can approve or reject proposals.
Execute: Can execute approved proposals.
Edit a team member's rights
To update a member’s rights:
Go to the Members page.
Select the member you want to edit.
Click Add or Edit to assign rights. A member can have no rights (read-only), or any combination of Initiate, Vote, and Execute.
Note: Executing a proposal to change a member’s rights will automatically cancel configuration proposals with an Active or Ready status, as well as Active treasury proposals (fund transfers). See this section below for specific details.
Invite a new team member
To invite a new team member:
Go to the Members page and select Invite Member.
Enter their email and click Invite.
An invitation will be sent to their email address.
New members start with read-only access. Because of this, inviting a member does not create a proposal. After they accept the invite, you can assign rights (Initiate, Vote, Execute). Assigning or updating rights creates a proposal that must be approved based on your Approval Threshold.
The Date added field will show Pending until the invitation is accepted. Invitation links expire after 24 hours. If the invite is not accepted in time, you can resend it by selecting Resend invitation from the member’s row.
Remove a team member
To remove a team member:
Go to the Members page.
Select the relevant member and select Remove.
This will create a new proposal in the Approvals page to be voted on and executed.
Note: Executing a proposal to remove a team member will automatically cancel configuration proposals with an Active or Ready status, as well as Active treasury proposals (fund transfers). See this section below for specific details.
How configuration updates automatically cancel certain proposals
There are two types of proposals in Altitude:
Treasury proposals – Involve moving funds.
Configuration proposals – Change onchain settings, such as editing member rights or the approval threshold.
When a new configuration proposal is executed, Altitude automatically cancels any other Active or Ready configuration proposals, as well as any Active treasury proposals. This is done to maintain security and prevent conflicts. Treasury proposals in Ready status are not affected and will remain executable.
Configuration proposals trigger cancellation if they include:
Changing a member’s rights
Removing a member with permissions (unless that member only has read-only rights)
Changing the Approval Threshold
Inviting a new member does not cancel proposals, since invited members start with view-only access.
